Tanjung Benoa is a fisherman village formed from the delta of white sand and flanked by the sea in both side. It takes about 20 minutes from airport, 35 minutes from Kuta beach, and about 40 minutes from Sanur area. Before becoming the tourist destination, the life style of local residence at Tanjung Benoa are very simple where most of them are become fisherman who done their activities on the sea daily.
Since 1980, this area began develop and change where the international class hotels have been built including restaurants so that gradually this place become famous among the tourists. The government of Bali Province has established Tanjung Benoa Beach as Marine Sport Center because it is blessed by the beautiful white sandy beach with calm seawater.
The palm and tropical trees are able to create the shady atmosphere including the calm seawater those are ideally for swimming, relaxation and walking on the beach. Many tourist in particular family travelers come and stay at this area to fulfill their holidays in Bali.
There are several different types of games on there, like jet ski, banana boat, parasailing, flying fish, snorkeling, and diving. each game is always supervised by an instructor who will lead you.
So, do not worry.
While playing jetski, you will drive the vehicle while the hot sun. Together with friends you will increase cheerful as banana boat rides. Or, floating in the air by parasailing and see Tanjung Benoa from a height.
One of the favorite games in Tanjung Benoa is the Flying Fish, which is 3 pieces of banana boat rolled into one with the addition of a rubber boat across the front and there is a left wing on the right side. The game is done by three people, including an instructor. Flying Fish will be pulled by a speed boat with a line of high-speed downwind. You will fly over the water about 2 feet or more depending on wind speeds.
Tanjung Benoa is geographically located in south part of Bali Island, just a step from Nusa Dua, an exclusive resort area in the island of god. Here, we can discover the beautiful Hindu temples like Dalem Tanjung Benoa Temple and Segara Temple.
You can also find traditional market, Buddhist temple and across of this village we can see the Benoa Harbor. There are several turtle conservation managed by the local residence who taking care of turtle from baby turtle and at the end will be released to the sea.
This various water attractions can be enjoyed from USD 15. Sometimes at high seasons, foreign tourists subjected to a more expensive price. But the price is comparable with the fun and exciting experience.
